We are a charity that provides an affordable counselling service for you.
We are a not-for-profit organisation, and our board of trustees is made up of local figures, ensuring that responsibility for the Centre is community led.
We have been in continuous operation since the Centre was established in 1981. We have helped thousands of people cope with their stress and other related issues and we proudly continue to do so today.
WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
Counselling is a meeting between you, the client, and a qualified and experienced counsellor, where your personal issues are discussed, in a confidential environment.
The counselling process can enable you to develop a better understanding of your problems, and give you insights into your recovery.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We offer an initial assessment, which costs £10 and £15 per session after that, but any donation above that is welcome.
The charity does not receive any funding from the Council or government, so we do rely on our clients making a donation to keep the Centre running.
WHO CAN ATTEND COUNSELLING?
Anyone, from mid-teens upwards. We can see individual clients, or couples. We do not discriminate between age, gender, race or ability.
HOW CAN I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
You can call us, on 01332 366863, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or drop in to the Centre, at 75 Osmaston Road, Derby.
HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO WAIT FOR AN APPOINTMENT?
We will try to see you as quickly as possible, but usually no longer than a week.
HOW MANY SESSIONS CAN I HAVE?
This is your decision. We place no limit on the number of sessions you can have. You can attend as often as you wish, and pause or end your sessions as you need, and you are always welcome to return to us.
We are able to offer weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions, tailored to your needs.
